TRAVEL ADVISORY
Booking guides

Chosen your hotel? Here’s what to send me.

You don’t need to prepare a detailed brief. If you already have a hotel in mind, a few useful details let me investigate the room, rate and booking arrangements that fit your stay.

The essentials

Start with the hotel name, arrival and departure dates, number of rooms and number of guests in each room. If children are travelling, include their ages at the time of the stay; there’s no need to send dates of birth.

Tell me whether your dates are fixed. A small change can affect availability, minimum stays or whether a promotional rate is worth considering.

The room you actually need

A category name alone doesn’t always answer the practical questions. Mention your preferred bed configuration, whether you need connecting rooms, and any priorities such as a balcony, outlook or quieter location.

If you’ve already chosen a room category, send its name. If you’re comparing categories, tell me which differences matter to you. Requests such as connecting rooms need checking with the hotel; don’t assume that two rooms booked together will connect.

Your budget and the option you’ve found

A total budget for the stay, with the currency, is more useful than a nightly figure without taxes. If you’ve found a public rate, share the link or a screenshot showing the room, dates, inclusions and cancellation terms. Remove personal details and booking references first.

I can compare the options I can arrange with what you’ve found, including breakfast, property credits, promotional offers and flexibility. A preferred rate is worth assessing on the whole arrangement, rather than assuming it is always cheaper.

Loyalty priorities and practical preferences

Tell me the loyalty programme and status level if points, qualifying nights or elite benefits influence your choice. You don’t need to send your membership number in the first enquiry.

Mention anything else that affects the decision: a late arrival, an early departure, a special occasion or a room requirement. Keep the initial message to what’s needed to assess the stay; don’t send passports, card details or sensitive medical information through the enquiry form.

What happens next

I’ll review the enquiry, ask for anything missing and explain the options I can arrange. There’s no fee for my booking assistance with eligible hotel-only reservations. More extensive research or travel planning may involve a separate fee, agreed before I start.

Already have a reservation? Say so before changing anything. I can investigate whether there’s a useful alternative, but you shouldn’t cancel an existing booking before the replacement and its terms are confirmed.

Let’s look at
your next stay.
